What is a Goddess?

For some, the word Goddess elicits the idea of the latest "new age" buzz word. But to all of us women, we know deep inside that she, the Divine Goddess, resides deep within us whether we want to believe it or not... she just does. She makes her presence known when crisis hits or when we are in a quiet moment, all alone. She is there when our loved ones speak words that touch us in that special place or when we are brought to tears by an inspiring event or a person in our life.

She is everywhere in our surroundings, even if we never knew who she was before. We felt her. Now it is time to know her, to embrace her within us. She is not confined by any religion - as she is found in every religion. Many Goddesses come from the myths and religious stories of our many cultures throughout the world. She lives and resides within our subtle energies. She is in every facet of our world. Mother Nature is not called "Father Nature" - for a reason. She is the life-force within each of us. She is forgiveness, compassion, empowerment and nurturing. Some say that the Goddess, the Divine Feminine energy, will help to nurture and ultimately save our world in the coming years.

The "Green" movement we are so very aware of today, is part of the Goddess energy coming to light in mainstream awareness. We are becoming aware of the Goddess energy in our bodies and on our planet. Both males and females alike are touched by the Goddess power. She is not just a new age phenomena...she is truth, love and unity.
